Stubby Spring Plungers - Stainless Steel Bodies Stainless Steel or Delrin Nose With or Without Nylon Locking Element - Combines the short body of a ball plunger with the long nose of a spring plunger. Used where space is restricted, but where appreciable plunger travel and high end pressures are required. Plunger telescopes completely. Class 2A threads. Permits use where mating surfaces must be flush. Steel noses are case hardened. Stainless passivated. Delrin nose offers long life and high resistance to repeated impacts, moisture and solvents and heat up to 190?F. Delrin plunger has electrical insulating properties and will not mar soft metals such as brass and aluminum. Has self-lubricating surface. Metric dimensions are in millimeters. The Yost Drill Press Vise Model #1104 with removable swivel base can be rotated and locked in any position. The vise can be removed from the swivel base and be used as a conventional drill press vise. The sides and bottom are machined flat and perpendicular to adjacent sides to allow the vise to be used one either side or on end. High strength grey iron castings are machined smooth for accurate movement with no lateral end play. The steel adjusting screw has a coarse-pitch thread for fast action. The jaws are hardened steel and replaceable. The stationary jaw is grooved vertically as well as horizontally for convenience in holding round pieces.
